Loony Lonely Limerick

Just joggin’ along the junction
Feet scorched, air punchin’
Jumped a jittery thug
Who just wanted a hug
I kindly rejected
He solemnly shrugged
That was quite a dysfunction

  1. although your lines (or couplets in a few cases here) are longer than the typical limerick, this still has the same feel and rhythm as a limerick, so I’d say that this works quite nicely!

    1. Oh, well I read and reread the lines in my head to see how they flow and feel the rhythm and thought it sounded okay. This is only the second time I’ve written a limerick or attempted one so of course I might not follow the rules right away. It’s good that you still like it!

All thoughts are welcome
