Piano Fingers

pianofingers

These magic fingers

The ones of the pianist

Delicately dance across the keys

That sweet sound telling me what I need to hear

The clairvoyant voice in my ear

I have been reminded that the music

Is the one thing the world can’t destroy

It is the threads that mend even the most broken hearts together

And without the music I am lost without a cause

Just a leaf in the breeze, watching the days pass by

Magic

#NaNoPoblano2016 Day 20

Magic’s In the Air

Apparate, disapparate

No limits to my travels

Just got to be determined

To not end up in pieces, unraveled

Much faster than a car

Stealthier than through the air

I’ll come in so quick

You’ll barely notice I was there

No more dreams of going to Rome or Paris

When I’ve got my magical touch

Just concentrate on that destination

And poof – how about a fancy lunch?

You have a secret superpower: the ability to appear and disappear at will. When and where will you use this new superpower? Tell us a story.

Like the wizards and witches in the Harry Potter universe, I would apparate and disapparate (basically altered spellings of “appear” and “disappear”) to get to far away places quicker, being careful not to splinch myself – such as leaving an arm in the previous location. This isn’t really a secret superpower in the magical world because most experienced users can do it, but not all perfectly.

The Mathemagician

Pyros dance in the flames

Surfers soak in the waves

Hackers live in the code using

Their high wired brains

And now I have been granted

A most powerful experience

Having all of these traits

Wrapped up in one neat package

I’m a story page turning

Mathematical genius

With a little bit of fire breathing,

Water shooting damage
